Just like any makeup junky, I am obsessed with anything that makes my skin look flawlessly glowy! I use several highlighters to give me that natural looking glow. My current favorite has gotta be the least expensive of them all!
A friend of mine recommended City Colors products a while back so I was extremely happy when I saw their stand at Landmark Makati. I bought their foundation, matte powder blot and brow powder on my first visit.
I loved all of them so I found myself buying more products from them. This cream is one of my most recent purchase!
Glowing Complexion Illuminating Cream comes in a universal shade but is said to work well with different skin tones. It’s stored in a slim tube and has a narrow tip for dispensing which I surprisingly like! I want to keep things clean and neat all the time so this tip really gives me that satisfaction. It also gives you more control compared to other packaging or the ones with a pump. The tube also allows you to squeeze it until the very last drop. You can use as little or as much as you want depending on the look that you wish to achieve. It may look small but looks can be very deceiving! In the past days of using it, I have learned that a little goes a long way so I can see this lasting for a year or so because you only need a little to have that right amount of glow on your face. Not bad for P229!
It is a beautiful shade of light pink or champagne-ish that adds a gorgeous glow under or on top of your make up. 99.9 % of the time, I just use my fingers for applying it but you can always use a brush or a beauty blender. I just use my fingers for a couple of reasons: 1. I find it the quickest, 2. I can use what’s left on my finger(s) as my eyeshadow and lastly, I like the effect most when I dab it on my face. Whichever works best for you!
If you want a fresh looking face, you can just put on your moisturizer, your bb cream, cc cream, dd cream whatever double lettered cream you are using. Then put a little bit of this glowing cream on your face and it will definitely illuminate your face and gives you that dewy look!
If you are crazy for dramatic looks, you can do your daily make up routine, contouring and stuff. Then apply two to three layers of this on your cheekbones, browbones, forehead, bridge of your nose, and/or use it as a sparkling eyeshadow. Keep applying until you are satisfied!
One thing I would recommend is to work with it quickly. It has the tendency to stick to the area really fast and will end up looking like a patch or something similar.
Overall, I’m giving this product a 👍🏼👍🏼 for quality, affordability and versatility! Kudos to #citycolors for another fabulous product!
