Review : Pure Skin Rituals Brewed Firming Body Scrub

I will never look at coffee the same way again!

I love coffee! I have probably said this gazillion times. I simply can’t survive a day without it! Recently, I have loved coffee even more.

A few weeks back, I got an Instagram private message from Pure Skin Rituals asking if I would be interested to review their products. For a newbie in the beauty blogging industry, it was one of the most exciting messages I have ever received. I said yes and a few weeks later, I received a package from them.

I was still using and observing their Spring Clean soap when we chatted again. A few days later, she sent me another package- something for me and for a giveaway. By far, the best customer service I have experienced. That’s a biggie for me!

One of the items I received from them is their Brewed Firming Body Scrub. It smells too coffeey that it makes me wanna eat it (I didn’t LOL).

This is a face and body scrub for a brighter and firmer skin.

Ground coffee granules, cocoa powder, virgin coconut oil, sweet almond oil, hazelnut oil, jojoba oil, brown sugar, milk essence, vanilla essential oil

This retails at P375 (100g) and is available via their IG account @PureSkinRituals.

The product is stored in a 100g plastic container. The cap shows the name of the product and the ingredients. Those are the only info you will see. It is really simple but the design has a certain charm to it. I am in love with the prints they himg_7189ave put in their individual packaging. Very minimalist yet creative.

This product screams COFFEE! It has a very strong coffeey scent; it makes me wanna smell it all day. I am so obsessed with the scent. FYI – The scent stays after you shower which I don’t really mind. But if you do, I suggest using a soap or body wash that has a stronger scent after you use this scrub.

The product is so easy to use. Like any other scrubs, you take out a decent portion of the product using your hand (if you are sharing this, then let’s mind our hygiene and use a spatula or something). Then, scrub it all over your body. The product is not super sticky but not liquidy nor greasy. This has a lot of oil in the ingredients so expect it to be a little oily which didn’t bother me at all. I actually love how it glides easily on my skin. The coffee granules scrub your body really well but it may be too hard and big for other people. Once you start scrubbing it, the granules tend to dissolve or break apart which is all over the floor after you shower. Make sure you clean it up!

I have only used it 4 or 5 times but I’ve already noticed my skin clearing up. I feel it is still too early to tell if it does tighten your skin. I will update this blog once I have noticed anything else.

It only says body scrub on the cap but in their IG, they have shared that this can also be used for the face. I tried it and I feel that it made my cheeks really oily. This is a perfect addition to your skincare if you have dry or very dry skin type. If you have oily or combination skin type, you may want to use it once a week or once every 2 weeks just so it can add moisture to your skin.

Apply this on your not so wet skin. Leave this on for at least 5 minutes before rinsing and you will feel your skin really clean yet moisturized.

Overall an amazing product to add to your skincare routine!
