I was beyond excited when I found out that ColourPop has released their first batch of nail polish. First of all, I looooooove ColourPop. Second, I am obsessed with nail polish. I’m not the best in applying it but it’s certainly is one of the things I enjoy doing.
I just posted a haul video featuring the items I purchased from ColourPop. If you haven’t watched that yet, here’s the link:
One of the items I picked up is ColourPop’s Holo Nail Polish – One wish, Two wish. They currently have 6 colors available on the site. I looked at all of them but this one was calling me so I easily gave in.
The rest of their shades are:
Be Fairy Afraid – soft Baby Pink with créme finish
Dust a Dream – Pastel Mint Green with créme finish
First Wings First – Pastel Lavender with créme finish
I want it that way – Clear with Bright Pink DuoChrome Glitter
Pixie-lated – bluish or kinda Teal with créme finish

Super pigmented, long wearing, smooth application, fast drying and holographic – those are their bold claims on the site. Keep reading to know which of these are true.
I swatched this on my haul vid and I immediately fell in love with the color. It is very pigmented – one coat and you are good to go (of course, depending on your preference).
This can be used as a top coat or can be used alone. Doing the latter just may require 2 or 3 layers to achieve stunning holographic nails.
Depending on the lighting and the number of layers you applied, this can give you pretty, fancy silver nails or it can look like a typical glittery / frosted Gray polish which may appear to be a bit dull. I personally love how my nails look under the sun or in our living room – looks more holo. At least, ColourPop understands what holographic means.
One thing I love about this polish is, it is so easy to apply on your nails. It glides on your nails like a dream. It usually takes me forever to finish my nails but this one was easy peasy.
This is the 1st polish I bought since I got here in the US. I didn’t use any primer / base or top coat with it. It has been a week and the polish still looks really pretty and with tolerable amount of chipping off. Not to mention, I wash dishes on a daily basis. I usually need to remove my polish after 3 days because of the chipping. The way my nails look after a week makes me love this polish a lot. Definitely one of the most long wearing polishes I’ve used.
They say, we, women are most helpless while our nail polish is drying. Well, you do not need be helpless for a long time. This completely dries out significantly faster than all the other brands I have tried. Quite frankly, I was most skeptical about that specific claim but I was pleasantly surprised. I used to blow dry my nails to make the drying process faster (leave me a comment if I am not alone on this. I guess, gone are the days that I will need my blow dyer for my nails.
Such a steal! You’d be crazy not to have this in your polish collection.
