Baby, it’s been veeeery cold outside! And my lips are dryer than ever.
My cream lipsticks have been my go to lip color this past few weeks. So I thought of drafting this swatch watch blog featuring Fashion 21’s All Day Matte lipsticks. Plus, I think I am having a major FOMO feels right now because I can’t get a hold of their new lipstick collection because I am so far, far away.
Anyways, I have 4 shades from this collection and I will be swatching them all for you today.
Product Description: “One swipe of this matte lipstick gives full, intensely colored, and lasting coverage to your lips. And it doesn’t just look good—the formula is light on the lips and does not dry them out. The All-Day Matte Lipstick comes in 15 brownish, reddish, and pinkish shades that fit any mood for any event, any day and night.”
I believe there are 17 shades available from this collection. They have a good mix of Reds, Pinks and Nudes. Each lipstick cost P175 (when I bought them; comment below if it has changed) which is a really good price for a lipstick.
These lipsticks come in a plastic bullet tube with a glossy finish. And yes, they look like MAC Cosmetics’ bullet lipsticks, only way cheaper. I think the packaging is simple yet very classy.
Fashion 21 Cosmetics is one of my fave Pinoy brands. Their products are priced reasonably and the quality of the products I used from them is just outstanding.
If you have been following me, you should know that I am crazy about their Double Up Mascara and that is still my #1 fave from the brand. This lipstick however, is a close second fave. They are inexpensive and offers amazing color pigmentation. I am obsessed with Sushi’s, Bronze’s and Blossom’s color payoff. Mulberry, on the other hand, needs a little bit more effort to achieve an even lip color. If you look at the hand swatches, you will see that this shade is a little bit patchy so you may have to add another layer or two. On the photo above, I am wearing 5 layers of Mulberry. If you have more pigmented lips, you may need more swipes to evenly cover your entire lips. Do not worry about applying many layers of this lipstick because these are truly lightweight.
They are not the “mattest” lipsticks in town but they are also not the most moisturizing. The formula is drier than other lipsticks I have tried. It’s a little bit waxy but it’s a dry formula. I hope that makes sense. It may be tricky to apply especially for newbies or for Fashion21 beginners. That explains the not-so-perfect lip swatches which I hope we can overlook for now. 🙂
If you have chapped or dry lips, this may not be your favorite lipstick because this can emphasize the lines and the dryness of your lips and nobody likes that right? My lips are not extremely chapped but when my lips are not in their best mood, I apply a thin layer of lip balm before my lipstick. That’s something you may wanna try. Let me know if that works for you too. 😉
Overall, I enjoy using these lipsticks. Again, Mulberry is my fave color but in terms of pigmentation and ease of application, Bronze is at the top of the list.
What’s your fave Fashion 21 Cosmetics lipstick? Let me know in the comment section below.
I hope these swatches gave you an idea if these deserve a space in your lipstick drawer and in your hearts.
