Beach Born Piggylash 30-Day Test

“Don’t show up without your brows!”

I still laugh every single time I remember a friend telling me these words that one day I woke up late and went to work with my bare face.

Let’s make one thing clear, I was not offended at all. She’s a dear friend so we kind of earned the right to be brutally honest with each other and quite frankly, that’s the kind of friends I love to keep.

Anyhow, I’ve always wanted thicker and darker brows. I guess because we love things we don’t have.

I know recent innovations can make my big and bold dreams (aka brows) come true but I’m not exactly 100% on board with the whole brow embroidery / microblading trend. I don’t have anything against it nor the people who went through the procedure. I’m just not yet brave enough to do it.

Since I’ve narrowed down my options to achieving lush brows, I’ve been trying several castor oils and serums but NONE of them worked! I saw that BeachBorn launched their own version called Piggylash and I just needed to try it!

A few months back, I asked a friend from the Philippines to bring me a bottle so I can test it out and see what it can do to my hopeless brows.

Have I finally found a version that actually works? Or is BeachBorn’s Piggylash worth throwing away just like the others?

BeachBorn’s Piggy Lash is an ALL NATURAL, CRUELTY-FREE, PARABEN FREE and ARTIFICIAL FRAGRANCE FREE brows and lash serum that contains cold pressed castor oil and infused with vitamin E to stimulate hair growth.

Application is not rocket science!

  1. Make sure your brows and lashes are clean and dry.
  2. Apply 2 coats of Piggylash. It should be enough but you can go for a 3rd coat. If you apply more than that on your lashes, prepare for crusty eyes in the morning. You may apply it at night after you complete your skincare routine or if you work from home or a stay at home mom, applying this during the day is an absolute option.
  3. Gently wash your face with your favorite cleanser.

Quick Tip : Make sure you reach the roots of your hair when applying the product. I believe, the growth of the hair starts from the roots and not from the tips. Click HERE to see me apply it.

The packaging screams BEACH BORN! It’s simple yet classy. Also, I love that it’s travel friendly and not as bulky as the other castor oil bottles I’ve seen.

I think it’s genius that they included a mascara wand. A skinnier wand would probably make the application so much easier especially for those who have extremely short lashes.

I wasn’t happy about its consistency at first. It’s a tad bit thicker than other lash oils/serums I’ve tried but the more I use it, the more I love it. I was worried that it’s gonna be super sticky and heavy which will make me feel uncomfortable but it’s not! Yes, you’ll feel that there’s something on your lashes and brows but it did not make me feel uncomfy.

In fact, Piggylash is way more comfortable than all the other serums/oils I’ve tried. I was worried that this will make my lids and brows oil up faster but that didn’t happen as well.

Now, the most important question – DOES IT WORK?!

To see if it really works, I did a 30-Day test last July! (I know! Sorry it took a while for me to publish this. The past months have been a rollercoaster ride! I’ve had some extremely painful lows and unbelievably crazy highs. Check out the Today’s Thoughts section to know more.)

Here’s how my brows and lashes looked before I used BeachBorn’s Piggylash :

I did not see any drastic change on the 1st two weeks. Although, I wasn’t expecting any change to happen that quick. One thing I did notice is, how fast my brow hair grew and they definitely started to look a little bit darker!

Week 3 was a challenge! I was so tempted to groom my brows because they looked like a hot mess. I stopped myself from plucking and trimming my brows because I was determined to see how they’ll look after 30 days.

And, I am finally seeing progress with my lashes. It looks a little bit longer and thicker.

This is, by far, the most effective brow/lash serum I have ever tried and it’s very affordable!

Do not expect to see outstanding changes after a week or two. It takes time and effort before you see the magic happen. Consistency is the key! One thing I can assure you, THIS ACTUALLY WORKS! Highly recommend this!

Available through BeautyMNL and you may also purchase by sending them a message on Viber or order from their website HERE .

TODAY’S THOUGHTS

How do you deal with grief?

I was having a good convo with a former colleague/ friend at a Jollibee branch here in Las Vegas when I saw an old man walking alone. He reminded me of my dad who passed exactly 2 months ago today. In my mind, I wished that that was my dad so I can call him and say “I’m over here! I already got you something. Now, let’s eat!” But it wasn’t him and it broke my heart into tiny little pieces… for the nth time. Hug your loved ones before you sleep or go to work today; tomorrow is never certain.

“Cause you never think that the last time is the last time. You think there will be more. You think you have forever but you don’t.”

Thank you all so much for your love and support. I hope you find this blog helpful. Let me know in the comments what Beach Born babies you want to see here next. I’ll chat with you again in our next blog.

Love you Dolls! xoxo
