Swatch Watch – Bite Beauty Matte Crème Lip Crayon!

Best Matte Lipstick?!

Keep scrolling if you wanna know my thoughts on that!

I recently received this box of Bite Beauty goodies in the mail. There are 18 Matte Crème Lip Crayons included in the box but I believe they have 22 or 23 shades. I could be wrong!

I am not in their PR list, in case you are wondering. I’m not that important (yet 😀 Insert evil laugh here).

I joined their ambassador program months ago. Basically, you sign up to be part of the program and you get a chance to win prizes from the brand. Last August, I was fortunate to be one of the winners. They did tell me that I’ll receive their new lip gloss collection but obviously, that’s not the case. Not sure about what happened but hey! I’m not complaining – every gift deserves to be appreciated! Did I mention that this gift cost $24 each which means this set is worth at least $432 (plus sales tax).

Since some of us like it simple and straight forward, here’s a quick one swipe swatch of all 18 shades I own.

I truly appreciate lip swatches because they give you an idea on how the shades look on one’s skin tone. So, I hope these unedited, unfiltered photos of myself wearing these gorgeous shades under natural lighting help you decide what shades would work for you.

Bite Beauty Matte Creme Lip Swatches with Labels

By the time you’re reading this part, my lips are taking a little break and enjoying the comfort of my chapstick! Taking these lip swatches in 1 day is crazy! I was crazy for doing it! But I had so much fun and I’d do it again for y’all!

If you must know, Red Velvet, Cognac, Léché, Aubergine and Truffle are currently my fave five. I don’t see myself grabbing most of their nudes because they are not as flattering as I hoped they would be (at least for my skin tone). I’d wear Amaretto and Léché!

I’d absolutely recommend Sucré, Tatin, Pastille and Brandy if you are into Pinks.

During the spring or summer, Pêche and Blood Orange may become my must haves while Liquorice, Cognac and Truffle are just so perfect for fall. Without a doubt, Black Truffle will be my go to shade on Halloween and on days I feel like a rock goddess!

I haven’t really spent a lot of time with these lipsticks but I think I’ve had enough experience with them to list some pros and cons.

  • Love the sleek and travel-friendly packaging. Easy to open and easy to close!
  • The slim lip crayon design makes it so much easier to achieve precision. It glides like a dream!
  • The pigmentation is phenomenal! One layer and you’re good to go!
  • Amazing color range – beautiful nudes to the boldest bolds that I feel would look gorgeous on any skin tone.
  • Smells delicious! I wanna eat them all.
  • Feels incredibly comfortable on the lips and truly moisturizing!
  • Made with natural ingredients – No Parabens! No Sulfates! No Phthalates!

  • It will get messy! These transfer like crazy! Make sure you take it with you all the time because you will need to reapply this after every meal.
  • Not impress with the staying power. It may last longer if you apply a lip liner under it.
  • I honestly feel it’s a little bit pricey for the amount of product you get. Check the previous photo to see the amount of lipstick you get.

It stays creamy and doesn’t completely dry which could be a pro or a con depending on your preference. I tried dabbing a tissue on my lips to make it a little bit more matte (which I do all the time) but that just made my lips look patchy. I applied another layer and dabbed the tissue again, that did make my lips look more matte and even but the lipstick still transferred on my coffee mug.

I think I have already mentioned a few times in the past that I’m a matte girl. This would probably be more perfect to beauties who love moisturizing lip products. I’m still wearing them because the colors are stunning. I may just grab something else if I know I’ll need a lipstick that will last all day and won’t spread all over my coffee cups.
